Bush in the State of the Union Address on January 29, 2005. The speech was made at a time when terrorism had become one of the main problems that the United States faced.

During his speech he spoke about the security that the United States had and how it prevented other countries from attacking them. Another reason why Bush used this analogy was because he did not want to give any other country an advantage against their opponents. He used the term “world” to show that his opponents would do anything they could to be equal to America.
